Until I was right there in the water looking at them, I didn't know that starfish came in a rainbow of colors. Blue, green, purple, pink, orange, yellow ... it's just beautiful. I took this shot in the shallow waters on the coast of Oregon just below the Newport lighthouse. Yes, the starfish was alive, and no, I did not bother it other than to get close enough in the water to take this photo.
