I give all the cats names of one sort or another when I'm feeding them. This cat was in Kansas, and she seemed to be the boss of the other six or eight that came around for food. I called her "Mama Kitty." She would walk up to whoever might be at the food dish (usually with at least two actually sitting in line) and give them a gentle bop on top of the head. That cat would back off for Mama Kitty so she could eat and then they would take their turn. She reminded me a little of a small lion in the way that she carried herself.
